What is a ‘pay-to-play’ system?

A “pay-for-play” system allows an actor to have more influence over the way a film is produced.

It is usually used by large corporations to keep their products on the market longer and is usually set up in the hope that more people will buy their products.

In recent years, a growing number of films, including The Amazing Spider-Man, Black Panther and Deadpool, have been produced under the same system, which allows them to keep making more films.

But the new Hollywood pay-to play system is creating some tension in the industry, with many directors and studios claiming they will be unfairly disadvantaged in their efforts to make their films.
